Talks with Pak won’t be only on Kashmir, also PoK: Rajnath Singh
NEW DELHI: Defence minister Rajnath Singh said in Parliament on Wednesday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi didn’t discuss Kashmir with US president Donald Trump and ruled out any possibility of mediation in the issue.
As S Jaishankar ji (External Affairs Minister) said Kashmir issue was not discussed in President Trump and PM Modi meeting. There is no question of mediation in Kashmir issue as it will be against the Simla agreement,” Rajnath Singh said in Lok Sabha.
Kashmir is an issue of national pride for us. We can never compromise with it... if there would be any talks with Pakistan over Kashmir, it will also include Pakistan-occupied Kashmir,” Singh said.
Trump, speaking to reporters during Pakistan PM Imran Khan’s US visit, had claimed that PM Modi had asked him to mediate on the Kashmir issue. India was quick to rebut the US president’s claim with external affairs minister S Jaishankar confirming that no such request was made.
A Slab of Stone at Hussainabad broQ Skardu, Gilgit Baltistan Pakistan
It takes 10 min drive from hussaini chowk to hussainabad. From there an offroad takes u to hussainabad broq, 6 km upwards from the main road that u can easily see on google maps having multiple hair pins and steep ascending path. Better to take a jeep Or 4×4 vehicle, 20 min.The road ends at a village at 3000m from where the hike starts. It has beautiful meadows.U can hire a porter from there.
The trek to the rock from there was 3 hrs acc to locals.
But me being slow took almost 4.5 hours. The Altimeter showed height of 3730m/ 11702ft. Acc to my knowledge/experience, i can say its moderately difficult. (60 degree ascent in >75% of the track, total ascent of 730m almost, stil had snow in april, no single track) Descent took 2.5 hrs fr me, locals say its 1.5 hrs via some shortcuts. So take ample water n energy bars. Nd dnt take shortcuts if not pro. And yes meadows get green in july.
Pls dont take trash..there is still wild life thriving, and its lovely. We didnt throw a single wrapper neither did i saw any, nd "i wish all of u want to and are able to see it clean just like that."
Hav fun Hiking...

The conflict of Kashmir.
I did not know what to expect when I decided to travel to Kashmir and it has been the most unique experience for me.
While in Kashmir it actually felt like I was not in India anymore and not only because it is exceptionally stunning. Throughout Islamabad and Srinagar I saw vandalized walls, graffiti saying "Indian dogs go back", "Welcome to Pakistan" and "Free Kashmir", while I was in Dodhpathri a 3 year old was heard shouting slogans for Azadi. It was a rollercoaster for me, to see someone hate the country I have grown up loving, to see so many Army men on duty and never at ease. And even after all of it, I understood them.
And I'm not writing this to instigate you against the beautiful people of Kashmir, I'm writing this to let you have an open mind, I was there and I saw oppression and restlessness in their eyes. While we are not necessarily expected to support their cause or turn against our loving nation, but I hope all of us (the outsiders) are open to listening to them and are non judgmental.
They have their reason and sentiments, Kashmir has been a battleground and innocent locals have been the collateral damage.
It is easy to sit behind our mobile screens at our comfortable homes and pass quick judgments, but Kashmir is conflicted and life there is demanding. And it is just unfair to choose a side here.
