I love taking photos of the night sky. Being somewhere dark enough to see and capture the Milky Way has always been an amazing experience. This is the night sky over North Dome in Yosemite Valley. I stitched this photo together from two individual photographs. I have this printed out on the wall at home, but it is one of the few night sky photos you won’t see available as a print on our website. Stitching together photos of stars is challenging, and despite my best efforts, the interface between the two photos just never looks as good as I’d like. I like seeing it on the wall at home, though. It is a good reminder to me that things don’t need to be perfect to be beautiful. Check out our new website (link in bio) to see all the other night sky photos that are available as prints! 📷: Alison 📍Ancestral land of the Ahwahnechee people
"The Search for Meaning" | Photo made after being 36 hours awake, during a wonderful dawn in Vestrahorn, Iceland.
When your body reaches the limit of exhaustion, and yet your face just can't stop smiling, you finally know you have found Meaning.
Technical details: I do not usually do exposure blending but this time I thought it would benefit the landscape. Did one Short exposure for the foreground and long exposure for the sky, one right after the other.

Crown mines at Botallack. What a place this is to see these buildings on the cliff edge I can only imagine what it would of been like hundreds of year ago mining tin here. Fantastic place to spend sometime and to take it all in 👍🏻.
