What a sad advertisement lmao!! So basically Canada does not have talent. Any tom, dick and harry can get jobs as long as they have connections hahahaha cant believe someone would pay good money to write this shit on the ad to promote their company lmao very curious to know who came up with this tragic tagline lol (sorry..cant mention the company name for legal reasons)
41-42 year old suspect Yuutaro Togashi (富樫勇太郎) of Saitama city was arrested. Self-proclaimed light novel writer, but unemployed. Witnesses said he was yelling "HOW DARE YOU PLAGIARISE ME! DIE!!" Not confirmed by police yet. 13 (at the time of the articles I found but 33 now) people confirmed deceased from cardiac arrest. All that are missing, including top staff such as executives, directors, etc has been accounted for. 33 out of the 70 inside the building is dead. 30 more are in Critical/Major condition. This means Kyoani will likely cease to exist as a result of this incident. Very sad. The culprit is currently sleeping in hospital. If he's proven to have a mental illness he may be found innocent." Supposedly a guy is mad because supposedly kyoani animation stole there work
Heartbreaking... 😔 Young boxer dies, fighting until his last breath hoping that victory would enable him to attain a green card and bring his wife and 2 yr old to America. -Ray.
He was a very kind person who fought until the very end. Our son will continue being raised to be a great man like his father. I would like to thank everyone that cared for Maxim during his final days. - his wife Elizaveta Apushkina.
The spirit of a fighter knows no stop. It lives beyond a fight’s end and a referees call. - Teddy Atlas.
I want to write a largely fictional story inspired by this couple, and call it something long, silly, and lofty like "The Tragic Romance of George and John: A Manic Love Story." ...but I can't write porn well enough to do what I'm imagining justice. Today Alita: Battle Angel came out. When I first saw the trailer for this movie I was intrigued. If you remember the first trailer was in pink and green. From there I saw a few more trailers and I wanted to see it. It was the last movie I saw one night I spent 8 hours at the movie theaters trying to catch up on movies I hadn’t seen because I had been working so much. When I saw it the movie had me; the visual effects for Alita were amazing, I liked the design of the world, I liked the variation in the costume work, and the score was beautiful. What I loved about the score it was Tom Holkenborg said about it, “In a movie like this it’s easy to get lost in sound design, but then you loose the heart of it.” With the music you hear the progression of her character from like a child in ‘I Don’t Even Know My Own Name’ to the warrior ‘Grewishka’s Revenge’ to the hero in ‘Raising the Sword.’ This was my first introduction to Tom Holkenborg and I love how he was able to write for the many different scenes in the movie. The love theme he wrote for Alita and Hugo is in my top list of love themes. It reminds me of the love theme for the 1986 version of Romeo and Juliet with beauty and tragedy at the same time. I don’t know anything about the original source material, but I’m excited for a future sequel that I hope we get.
Hoover Fire Capt. Scott West says two men were killed in a trench collapse on Twin Pince Circle Tuesday afternoon. The workers were pronounced dead at the scene after being found seven feet underground. "This is not the result that we were hoping for," West said.

I don't usually venture into WW2 books because they're so depressing. The Nightingale was no exception.
I've loved Kristin Hannah since 'The Great Alone' and was very excited to read another one of her works. This book was so vastly different from 'The Great Alone' but it was just as beautifully written. It was not a difficult read by any means, but it did take me over a week to read because it was so heavy. I found myself wanting to finish the story, but struggling to find the will to pick it up. L
It follows the lives of French sister's Isabelle and Vianne as they survive WW2. The sacrafices and risks they take to either survive or help the cause of freeing the french were phenomenal and tragic.
Artist from Oaxaca de Juarez, Mexico - Yair Pierce
Santo Domingo in flames, 2019
The painting is a representation of the most characteristic and relevant church of my city, Oaxaca de Juarez, it is called Santo Domingo convent, the painting is part of a collection that I have prepared, based on the most important places of my city and designing them with my art style, for which, in the majority, sinister or apocalyptic and bizarre creatures appear.
First mount a sketch of the building, and perfect it with rules, then draw all the faces and characters of the painting, add details to the building, having finished drawing everything with a pen, proceeded to paint it, with colors and markers, each character and also the building, for the background sky use acrylic paint and slide it in parts with my fingers to achieve a better finish.
Paper marquilla, pen, ink, acrylic paint, colors and markers, 24.5 * 32cm
Mexican artist, creator of comics, trying to find beauty in the horrible Why are you creating art? It is my motor of emotional life, more than a hobby, it is the reason that I have found in my life to be able to feel good with myself and share my imagination with others
What do you like most in the creation of art? More than drawing or painting, imagining, being able to create figures in my mind, in an absurd and grotesque way, to capture it on paper and that it can take shape in physical life.
What is your goal? Principally, to share what I imagine and believe, towards people, who can see what the mind can be capable of when one can imagine and at the same time, be able to create it in a single picture, to be able to visually bring that whole world to each person.

For a few days we have been talking and experiencing his situation and here such a tragic news ...

Today my brain offered me thoughts like:
I don’t wanna wake up.
It’s gonna be such a long day.
I have too much to do.
I’m so tired.
It’s too late to workout.
It would have been easy to believe these as TRUE statements, in fact I usually do. But today I chose a different route. I acknowledged each one, thanked my brain for trying to keep me safe or to help me use as little energy as possible, and reminded myself of the following:
I do want to wake up.
Today’s going to be the same length of day as any other day.
I don’t have to do any of it.
I’m tired and that’s ok.
It’s never too late to work out.
Give it a try and see what happens.
Loving these positive self talk tips from @p_elise !! Consider how different each day would go if we all practiced taking each negative thought captive, feeling the feelings associated with each one, and replacing them with a truth. Talk about empowering!

Straight from the streets of Douglas, Wyoming--not me, the book--comes this briefly enjoyable book. "A Man Without a Country" was Vonnegut's final book before his death in 2007, and it's not surprising that many of his opinions on the Bush Administration ran parallel to Hunter S. Thompson's opinions in "Hey Rube," written around the same time but not even close to the same quality. Vonnegut uses this text almost a memoir, including stories from his own life (which, if you've read enough of his works, you knew anyway) and his opinions about politics, greed, and humor. The read is quick, and I mean quick: I read the whole book one night before bed! If you're looking for something lighthearted to read, then this is your book. On a less positive note, I will say that the book can appear very negative (once again, if you've read Vonnegut...) but the negativity is not without justification: the book was written by a man in his eightees who had been socially aware for longer than I've been alive. That'll make just about anyone sound negative. Overall, this is worth reading!
Drowned in a river
Measured in disease
As time retreats
And death ascends
Though, it is you who commends
For its loyal impaction
Deems such a level of satisfaction,
That... I'm willing to disguise
The very compromise
Of life itself.
