So you have a trek planned...but you also work a 60 hour week...⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And have a family to look after...⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And have a social life...⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And somewhere in there, you want to allow some time to relax and unwind...⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So how are you expected to spend hours every day walking?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
One issue with traditional trek preparation programs is that they are the furthest thing away from 'time-efficient as is possible. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And while it is true that in order to BEST prepare for a trek - you need to get some serious training hours under your belt... ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But what if that is not possible?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What if the most you can genuinely commit to was, say, 30 minutes a day?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Well, I have you covered. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ . ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Inside this episode of the Training For Trekking podcast, I share with you some strategies which will help you prepare for your trek, with the smallest time commitment possible.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It definitely isn't the BEST way of doing things.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And it probably won't get you in a position to 'enjoy every second' of your trek...⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But it will get you through!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Inside this episode you will learn:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Любовь к делу = любовь к деталям = сервис. 🌌💗 К каждой группе треккинга я придумываю свой уникальный дизайн футболок. 100% made in Nepal.

Nepal has never been one of the countries I was picturing for backpacking Asia. I heard a lot about Indonesia, Tibet and India, but Nepal has been distant and full of mystery, before I decided to go there.
Right away, a girl that organizes travelling trips has found me and we agreed to cooperate. I needed to write posts and help with the SMM for the new account and she said I could pick one of her trips instead of payment. Without planning it, I found myself going to Nepal with a strong healer and intuitive light worker. @jorj_sopilnichenko carried yogic nails and other weird stuff with him.
When you first come to Nepal, you see a nice cozy airport and get pulled into a small airport bus filled with what feels like at least a hundred other people. Nepali men and women have a beautiful golden-brown color of skin and unbelievably open and light-hearted smiles. I couldn’t stop looking at the way they smiled and copied it.
This was only the beginning of my meeting with the country, I was tired after the flight and wanted to sleep. Still, the next morning shaped to be one of the most interesting experiences in my life - as Kate, the crazy climber and a spiritual seeker asked if I wanted to go with them on a morning cleansing Cora.
Langtang Gosainkunda trek is one of the most strenuous treks in this region, reaching at an altitude of 4300 meters. However, this trek is equally rewarding, that never fails to award you with picturesque tamang villages, awe-inspiring mountain views and a sneak peek into the local culture.

A quick game of hacky-sack with our sherpa before our ascent to Nuwankot in Nepal. I love the mist and the hacky sack caught up in the air. Our bags piled ready to go... The simple mindfulness of walking and trekking has benefits physically and psychologically. Making time to amble along, talk, joke, explore ideas, look at the scenery can be stress relieving and be a buffer against depression and anxiety. Just being in the moment and having fun is worth prioritising in daily life. Great skills to teach our kids, in our increasingly fast paced global community.
A man adjusts the load on the back of his yak on the way to Patan in Upper Dolpo to forage Yarshagumba. The foragers set camp in high plateaus where the herb is available, sometimes spending a few weeks. Many people suffer from adverse effects of the high altitude and extreme cold often leading to fatalities. During the first few days of the season 5 deaths had already been reported and I myself met a few people who had headed down as a result of sickness. @sarthak.karki
